Reiki & Restorative Yoga Workshop

Service Description

This workshop will focus on cleansing and balancing energy. Participants can expect a meditative experience with restorative asanas and a 1:1 Reiki session (if desired). Wear comfy clothes and come with an open mind. No prior experience necessary! Restorative yoga is a wonderful and gentle practice for the mind, body, and spirit. Students are guided through a series of postures designed to allow you the space and comfort to fully relax and restore. This is a practice that helps slow down the mind and body through long-held, passive postures. Props are provided to support the body in these positions, making the practice accessible to many. Reiki means universal life force. Reiki practice encourages your body to heal itself by moving stagnated energy to help improve emotional, mental, and physical ailments. It gets the energy flowing again to bring clarity to the mind and remove any emotional blockages and what no longer serves you. It is also great for helping you stay balanced throughout your day-to-day life and assisting in any physical rehabilitation. Meet the Instructors: Addie Balde has been practicing yoga since 2005 and completed her teacher training with Yoga Etc in 2020. She currently teaches yoga at Manatee county libraries, Screaming Buddha, A Little Twisted Yoga, ArtCenter Manatee, The Florida Aquarium and Body Heat Yoga. The power and gifts of yoga have transformed her life. When she’s not on the mat, she teaches pottery at ArtCenter Manatee and volunteers at The Florida Aquarium, Community Haven, and Night with the Stars Special Needs Prom. Amber Carlson has been a reiki practitioner since 2008. As a child, she always felt very sensitive to the energies around her. In her late 20's, she met a spiritual mentor who helped her begin to understand her gift, leading her to realize her purpose as healer. As a practitioner Amber taps into her clients' energy, picks up information, and lets the universe guide where the energy needs to go.
