LMT and Registered Facial Specialist
Shannon has been a spa enthusiast since childhood, but formally entered the industry in 1997, graduating from the Sarasota School of Massage Therapy. She later graduated the Glenwood Beauty Academy, in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, after working at luxury resort spas in Vail since 1998. She approaches her industry like an athlete. Shannon believes that just as athletic training enhances athletic performance, continuing education enhances professional performance.
Shannon is a part of several professional networking groups, has a select group of mentors guiding her, and has continuing education seminars planned for the next three years. She has shared her skills in places as far away as Chaing Mai, Thailand, Durban, South Africa, and Steamboat Springs, Colorado. She has a passion for learning, growing, and helping others do the same.
After 20 years of Colorado living, she and her husband returned to Florida to help her aging parents. They are currently paying off land in Hartsel, Colorado, where they will build a retreat for CranioSacral Therapy intensives to treat traumatized people, including local veterans. Much of her professional passion is fueled by this future vision. She is also preparing her own facial protege program, and currently developing concise training to help new estheticians learn everything they don’t teach in beauty school. She will continue to be hands-on with this program as she develops her retreat in Colorado.
CranioSacral Therapy is a keystone to her practice. Whenever appropriate, she uses CST techniques to enhance all of her services because CST enhances the body’s self-healing processes, balancing the cranial rhythm and allowing the body to go into homeostasis and a state of relaxation. All Shannon’s sessions are designed to help people make lasting healthy changes that naturally result in beautiful skin and overall well-being.
